Question What is the difference between these Canon PowerShot digital cameras?
I want a new digital camera, and Canon PowerShot was recommended to me. It's for casual, vacation picture use. What's the difference between the Canon PowerShot SD1200-IS and the Canon PowerShot A1100-IS. The latter is cheaper, but will it be lower quality?

Question What is the difference between powershot and ixus series of canon digital cameras?

Best Answer my answer.. IXUS and PowerShorts are 2 diffrent catagory. IXUS is ment for compact and convinient for travelling while Powershots are ment for slightly advanced function. Both of them produce good quality. What is best for you is up to your eveluation. Here's a tip, try to get the latest model.

Best Answer Well, If you read the camera reviews posted in various sites and blogs, you will understand that Canon is the undisputed leader in digi cams. Sony and Panasonic Lumix are also good brands that offer simple 'point and shoot cameras as well as complex SLRs. Personally, I prefer Sony to Canon just because of my brand loyalty. . Remember, Brand just doesn't ,matter. The model and the functions you need matter. Some of the Canon models just didn't click in the market although most of their models did.

Question Do all the Canon Powershot digital cameras have a video option?
I want to get the Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS but I don't know if it can record videos. Does it record videos and do you think it's good? If it does, how long could it record for, I want to make youtube videos for it. If it depends on the memory card which do you reccomend I get?

Dear friends, based on some recommendations, I was planning to buy a new digital camera Canon powershot SD600, this was almost 5 months ago and I did not buy it until now that I tried to buy it, but I found that the prices for this particular model have gone up a little a bit maybe it’s because newer models have come and many sellers do not carry this particular model anymore, does any one of you know of the newer models from Canon that has all the features of Canon powershot SD600 and can be a good or even better replacement for that? Question What is the difference between two models of Canon digital cameras; "PowerShot" and "IXUS"?
I saw a picture of a camera in Canon web site that has written under it; "PowerShot SD770 IS (digital IXUS 85 IS)". Are those models same? and Are "PowerShot" & "IXUS" two labels on one product? I asked this question of "Canon web site > contact-us part" , but unfortunately didn't get any answer !

Best Answer They're the same thing.. They call it the PowerShot in the U.S. and in Europe they call it the IXUS. The numbers for the two may be different but if they look exactly the same minus the lettering then well, they're the same exact thing. :]

Best Answer I can't answer all of your questions, because I have not handled all of these cameras. I CAN tell you, though, that the A630 and SD800 are the best in their classes that you have listed. Also, the A630 is clearly the best one of the bunch as far as image quality and user control. You might even consider an A640, since it costs even less than the SD800 that you listed. I own a few Nikon DSLR's and I'd buy the Canon Powershot A630 or A640 for myself. These cameras have the larger 1/1.8" (5.2 mm x 7.2 mm) sensor that is nearly double the sensor size you find in many point and shoot cameras and this translates into better image quality. They allow fully automatic use or total user control and offer several stages in between. The only significant difference between these cameras is that the A630 is 8 MP and the A640 is 10 MP. If you're going to spend up to $250, look at a Canon Powershot A630. My brother has had his A630 for about a year and it's a very nice camera. You can get it at B&H Photo (available through Yahoo! Shopping) for $212. If you can go to $350, look at the 10 MP Canon Powershot A640. This is not a camera that you can stuff into your shirt pocket, but it's an excellent camera. It sells for about $300 and you can add a very nice memory card for under $50. For either camera, buy a 1 or 2 GB Sandisk Ultra II or Extreme III card. You will NEED the increased capacity and write speed to fully realize the benefits of your camera. The Ultra II would be excellent, but if you are really into video, you might prefer the faster Extreme III. These cards cost from about $25-45 at B&H and several other outlets. Question How reliable are Canon Powershot digital cameras?
I heard they're really good, but not sure what to get. I don't need more than 10 megapixels because I heard MP is overrated anyway, but I want at least 6 or 7 MP. I also don't want to spend more than $150. What should I get? Thanks

Best Answer I got a Canon SD870 off of www.beachcamera.com and it's great. I got it at the beginning of the summer and it's been fantastic. I has around 8MP and I got it for $250 but it maybe be cheaper now.. My dad has had a Canon for the past year or two and it's still working fine. The build quality on the canon cameras are amazing in my opinion and I think they look better than the competitors.

Question i lost my usb connection. Where can i buy a usb connection for my canon powershot digital camera?
I lost my usb cable/connection for my canon powershot camera. Im having trouble finding websites or stores that sell usb connections/cables for digital cameras...can somebody please PLEASE help me? im taking a photography class and i really need the usb cable.
